BRING ON THE SUN by Chris Landau

Bring on the sun.

The Chasm, The Gulf.
We see. Change has come.
Bridge and bright, sunlight the Gulf.
Divide no more. Bring on the heat.
Break up the oil. We meet.
Light, clean our world.
Clouds cover no longer the Gulf.
Sun, break down the oil.
Oil dim and fade.
Fight surf, wind and light.
Aerobic and anaerobic, do battle.
Clean. It’s right.
We see .

The oil is gone.
The new soldiers stand in line.
They stand square and fine.
They face the sun.
They stand; they hum.
Silent and clean .
Embrace them as one.
The old way is done.
The oil will build the new.
It is our right to ask.
Their choice to choose.
Let them step forward.
Today, the new electric flame.
We all breathe… again.
Solar’s our way.
Stand together.
Don’t sway.
Bridge the Gulf.
The time is now.
Bring on the sun.

Bring on the sun.

How long must we drown under the oily depths of self deceit? We have fought wars and killed millions. We have polluted our lives and those of our children. We have called it patriotism. We have called it progress. Now we are stopped… to think.

It’s not too late. The Gulf, it no longer divides us. We see. They no longer rule us. Change has come.

Bridge and bright, sunlight the Gulf. Divide no more. Bring on the heat. Break up the oil.
Ultra violet light, clean our world. Clouds, cover no longer the Gulf. Sun, break down the oil. Murky oil, dim and fade. Fight with surf, wind and light. Aerobic and anaerobic, our allies, do battle. Clean the scourge.

We can see clearly now. The oil is gone.

The new soldiers stand in line. They stand square. They face the sun. They stand patiently. They work, clean and quiet, they hum. Embrace them as one.

The old oily way is done. The oil world will help build the new. It is our right to ask. Their choice be done. Let them step forward. Brighten our world. We all breathe… again.
Solar is the way. Stand together. Our future, bright. We have found the way. Bridge the Gulf.

The time is now.

Bring on the sun.
